There are many ways to get your child involved in STEM-related activities this December.

December 1: Join in a 3D printing workshop at the Peabody Institute Library. (Ages 9-13)

December 1, 8, 15, 22: STEM workshop for young children at the Newton Free Library. (Ages 3-4)

December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: Improve your math skills at the Dudley branch of the Boston Public Library (Roxbury). (Pre-K math through algebra)

December 2: Intro to 3D printing at the Beverly Public Library. (Ages 10+)Robot One Prototype One

December 3: Have fun with hands-on, daring science experiments for young scientists at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (Grades 4-6)

December 5, 12, 19: Learn how to build an app and design a video game at Girls Who Code at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 6-12)

December 5: Design and print 3D objects at the Morse Institute Library in Natick. (Ages 11-18)

December 6: Underwater robotics at Science on Saturday at MIT’s Edgerton Center (Cambridge). Free event (all ages).

December 6, 20: Robot Saturdays at the HATCH in the Arsenal Mall in Watertown. (All ages)

December 6, 13: 3D printing for kids at the MakerBot store in Boston. Cost: $10.

December 6, 13, 20, 27: Hands-on engineering and design at the MIT Museum (Cambridge). Free with Museum admission. (Ages 12+)

December 8: Intro to 3D printing at the Seekonk Public Library. (All ages)

December 9: Learn about programming during the Hour of Code workshop at the Seekonk Public Library. (All ages)

December 9, 16: Intro to 3D printing at the Peabody Institute Library. (Ages 9+)

December 10: Hands-on science experiments at the Faneuil branch of the Boston Public Library. (Ages 4-10)

December 10: Create a computer program and build an app during the Hour of Code at the Wellesley Free Library. (Grades 6+)

December 11: Learn basic electronics and make your own light-up card at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 2-5)

December 11: Join the Scratch Club and make your own games, animations and stories at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 3-6)

December 11, 31: Makerspace projects at the Watertown Free Public Library. (Grades 2-5)

December 13: Hands-on activities at Science Saturdays at the Cambridge Public Library. (Ages 5+)

December 13, 15: Intro to 3D printing in Tinkercad at the Wayland Free Public Library. (Ages 12+)

December 16: Learn how 3D printers work and make something at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 2-5)

December 16: Learn basic electronics and make your own light-up card with flexible circuits at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 6-12)

December 18: Meet Lexington High School’s Robotics team and their robots at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (All ages)

December 20: Mad Science programs about bugs and heat at the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy. (Ages 3-5 and 6-10)

December 26: During school holidays, attend NanoCamp at Empow Studios in Lexington. Cost: $95/day. (Grades 2-8)

December 29: Have fun with MaKey MaKey at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (All ages)

December 29: Come see 10 crazy magic+science experiments at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (Ages 5+)
