Boston STEM Fair 2017: For Parents and Kids

Are you looking for engaging, enriching and fun science, technology, engineering and math programs for your children? Would you like to get them involved in out-of-school STEM programs and activities this school year and summer?

If the answer is “Yes!,” then mark your calendar because you are invited to the Boston STEM Fair on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Arsenal Project Shopping Center in Watertown, MA. The open house event runs from 1pm-4pm in the Innovation Space at the mall and is FREE and open to the public.

For Parents + Kids (K-12)

The Boston STEM Fair gives parents and kids the opportunity to connect with many high caliber science, technology, engineering and math programs in the Boston area.

  • This is your opportunity to learn about STEM summer camps and after-school programs and find out which might be a good fit for your kids.
  • A college counselor will be on hand to talk about the college process and what it takes to get admitted to a STEM undergraduate program.
  • An expert on entrepreneurship, innovation and startups will explain how middle and high school students can gain exposure before they even enter the workforce.
  • Two local robotics teams (high school and middle school) will demonstrate the robots they have designed and built to compete in robotics competitions. They will also explain how you can get a team started in your own town.
  • A Girls Who Code Club will talk about how middle and high school girls are learning to code and what you can do to start your own club.

Meet the Exhibitors

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with directors, staff, educators, parents and students about programs in robotics, engineering, coding, 3D printing, science, web development and much more. There are programs for all ages (elementary, middle and high school) and all interest levels.

Win Prizes

You will also have an opportunity to win a number of valuable STEM prizes donated by the exhibitors. For example, you can save on summer camps, win a Xbox party at Microsoft Boston (fun!!), receive college admission counseling and more.
